Project YouthBuild Student Tracker
Wix / Illustrator / Photoshop / JavaScript
|
My task was to provide Project YouthBuild with a way to track student data and encourage students to engage more within the community. I moved forward with creating a responsive website that allows students to track their graduation progress, check up on announcements, create profiles, and view an Impact Hours Leaderboard.
The images provided here use some example user accounts as I am still working with Project YouthBuild to finally implement the site into their program. |

City Lights Skate Board & Process Booklet
Illustrator / InDesign / Photoshop
I was tasked with creating a skateboard design that was accompanied by a design breakdown. Using InDesign, I explained my design process in a concise booklet. Using Illustrator, I created a design that incorporated my interests in both abstract art and architecture. Finally, I finalized my skateboard design with a mockup in Photoshop.

Storm Drain Plastic Removal
Blender
This cost-efficient prototype aims to capture excess plastic or litter flowing through storm drains. The prototype would be installed at the final destination of the storm drain pipeline system, capturing the waste right before entering a major water source. If the catcher was to become clogged, four high-buoyancy pillars attached to the system would raise the catcher above the high water levels, removing the clog. Waste management would be able to check the prototype on a weekly basis to raise the catcher above the water level with a lever and replace the catcher with an empty one. I used Blender to create this rendering after being inspired by local issues with our natural water springs.

Pinellas Safe Harbor
Illustrator / Photoshop / Blender / Weebly
This project focused on design for a social cause. My objective with this project was to find a way to help the homeless get back on their feet and back into the workforce, through a refined list of workshop ideas, a new website for the organization, a exterior renovation layout for the facility, and digital bus stop to inform people about the facility.

San Bernadino Branding
Illustrator / Photoshop
Students were prompted to redesign or create a U.S. city's logo. I was assigned to the city of San Bernardino, CA. I created this logo to reflect the tropical mountain climate of Southern California while still incorporating a color palette that represents the city. I used Illustrator to create this logo and incorporated them around popular city locations using Photoshop.

BookedMark'd Makeover
Weebly / Illustrator / CSS
BookMark’d is a start-up company in Gainesville, FL that is in the process of creating an e-commerce application that would help eliminate financial barriers for college students. I had the opportunity to help design some of their preliminary website designs using Weebly. I redesigned the layout of their website UX and edited some HTML and CSS code to allow custom Weebly buttons. My major contributions can be seen on their “How it Works” and “About” pages.

UF Smathers Library Upgrade
Google SketchUp
Using Google Sketchup, I re-imagined UF’s historical Smather’s Library in an effort to provide a blue sky prototype solution. Additions like an observation tower, lighting, seating, art, an emergency police station, improved flow in the walkways, and a risen pathway were included to attract more students. The risen pathway prototype would offer connections to a main library on campus, Library West, offering greater access to this hidden gem.

VR The Ocean Cleanup
Unity / Unity Assets / C# / Google Cardboard / Android
|
The intent of this project is to spread awareness about the plastic crisis found floating on the surface of the Pacific. I was inspired by the non-profit organization, The Ocean Cleanup who aims to cleanup 50% of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch's plastic every five years. This experience will give the user the option to travel through two different teleporters, one leading to the future and one to outer space. In the future scene, users will be able to visualize what the ocean might look like if plastic littering was to continue for numerous years, while the space experience provides users with a better visual perspective of the massive Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
I wanted to emphasize that this was my first VR project and that I did not have 3D modeling experience at the time, so numerous objects within this project were imported from the Unity Asset Store. |
